Losing weight can be difficult at first, but it is possible. It does not matter how long you have been overweight, you can shed those extra pounds and get back in shape again.
Going on a two weeks diet to lose weight is one way of reducing your weight and getting in shape. However, such a diet should not be confused with a crash diet in which you nearly starve yourself for a short period of time in the hopes of shedding pounds.
Such diets do not work in the long term and can be harmful for your body. When going on a “two weeks diet“, you should cut back on unhealthy foods such as white rice, white flour products, junk foods and processed foods. However, it is still important to eat a few carbohydrates during this two-week period; these carbohydrates should be healthy foods such as brown rice, brown bread and baked or mashed potatoes.
You will also want to avoid fried foods if you are on a “two weeks diet“, as these foods can be quite fattening.
Red meat is more fattening than white meat and should only be eaten in moderation.
Fish is a good choice of meat for those dieting; it is very good for you and not as fattening as other meats.
You will also want to drink lots of water while on a diet – it helps your body to get rid of fat and toxins and is also good for your overall health. Certain Chinese teas, such as Oolong tea, can also be helpful to drink if you are trying to lose weight fast. Following these healthy eating and drinking habits will help you to not only shed pounds but also keep them from coming back.
Exercise is also vital and should not be overlooked while you are dieting. An exercise plan should be consistent and you should choose a form of exercise that you enjoy doing. While exercising daily is the ideal, if you are unable to exercise every day then at least commit to doing so several times a week.
